Antique brass jardinière – Repoussé decoration of cherries and leaves – circa 1900

Expertised by Drouot. Large planter / pot in antique brass, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. A particularly decorative piece featuring an elaborate repoussé design of cherry branches, fruits, and leaves, surrounded by a finely textured background. The planter rests on small decorative feet and has developed an attractive aged patina. The interior shows substantial natural oxidation and verdigris, in keeping with its age and previous use as a pot. Details: Period: circa 1890–1910. Style: Art Nouveau / decorative arts of the late 19th century. Material: brass. Decoration: repoussé fruits, branches, and cherry leaves. Length: approximately 40 cm. Width: approximately 14–15 cm.
