1960s Pair of lounge chairs by Isamu Kenmochi for Tendo, Japan

A fantastic pair of easy chairs model “t-3048m”/ designed by isamu kenmochi and manufactured by tendo in japan in 1961. The chairs are upholstered in beautiful quality grey with black skai (faux leather). This upholstered version of the chair was designed for the clubhouse of the totsuka country club. Later, they started producing chairs of molded plywood and this original version wasn’t produced anymore. This rare, original chair is hard to find and would make a beautiful addition to any midcentury / modern interior, giving any room a unique japanese influence! Marked underneath the seat as shown in photos. The set remains in good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
