US ammunition box

American ammunition box obviously dating from the second world war. In solid wood (pine), reinforced on the sides and top by wooden uprights and metal inserts connecting the elements together. Closing with metal fittings and rotary butterfly. (see photos) remains of inscription (more or less legible) referring to the original content and the us provenance, and contributing to the originality of this chest. Marks (logical!) of use and woodworms, but all fully treated, natural wood finish fed with linseed oil and usable as is. Dimensions width 47cm X height 33 cm X depth 37cm.
