Mid-Century Sommerso Murano Glass Vase by Flavio Poli for Seguso, Murano, Italy, 1960s

Stunning mid-century sommerso glass vase (murano, italy, 1960s). This very decorative vase is made of thick red, yellow and transparent glass. Height: 21 cm; width (largest point): 9 cm; depth (largest point): 6 cm. Very good vintage condition. One production imperfection inside the glass (dark dot). "sommerso" is a technique developed in murano in the 1930s which was very popular in the 1950s-70s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is usually cased by a clear layer.
