Empty pocket or petrified wooden dish. Petrified wood is a wood fossil (same family as magnolia) dating back 20 million years. Silica has replaced wood fiber molecule by molecule by giving silicified wood. Fossilization is slow which makes it possible to distinguish the patterns of the trees.
