Oak mirror, Louis XV style – Late 19th century

This oak mirror, inspired by the louis xv/rocaille style and dating from the end of the 19th century, is a remarkable piece for its elegance and refinement. The beveled mercury glass that composes it adds a touch of sophistication and clarity to the whole. The particularity of this mirror lies in its richly decorated pediment, where shell, foliage, volute and palmette motifs unfold, testifying to the baroque and rococo influence of the period.
