A round table made by a cabinetmaker with extraordinary dimensions and sturdiness.

Table custom-made by a cabinetmaker to furnish a large room and to last for generations (a table this large is not available commercially). Made entirely of solid oak, the tabletop has a diameter of 240cm and a thickness of 34mm. A curved solid oak apron measuring 90mm X 30mm is fixed under the tabletop 40mm from the outer edge. The height from the ground to the top of the tabletop is 75cm. The tabletop rests on four sturdy turned solid oak legs with a diameter of 10cm, which in turn rest on a central disc measuring 140cm in diameter and 35mm thick, itself resting on eight turned pieces with a diameter of 13cm and a height of 70mm, forming the contact points with the floor. The tabletop is made in two removable parts resting on a suitable 100% oak structure to allow for the transport of the table in a van and to fit through doors. The maximum seating capacity around it is 10 armchairs or 12 chairs. Perfect for hosting the 12 knights of the round table! To be able to pull back the armchairs or chairs to sit down, a floor space of at least 4m X 4m in the room is required. An ideal table for a large private living room, for family meals or gatherings with friends where all guests can see each other, also an ideal table to grace a corporate boardroom. Remarks regarding the photos: They were taken with a smartphone, and there are distortions in some images that might suggest that some lines are not truly straight, or that the tabletop is not symmetrical. Of course, everything is perfectly straight, square, and symmetrical! The photo with the armchairs around the table is provided for illustration to give an idea of the appearance of this table surrounded by seats (not included in the price offered for the table).
