LEATHER ARMCHAIR 2, MODEL DS-61, DE SEDE, SWITZERLAND 1960s/1970s, VINTAGE

A leather armchair from the iconic swiss manufacture de sede, manufactured in the 1960s and 1970s. The ds-61 model is no longer produced and is rarely available, so it is definitely a unique item. As with all furniture from this brand, the quality is excellent. Fully upholstered with thick, soft leather in excellent condition. The armchair's structure is made of solid wood, which makes it heavy and stable, but at the same time the frame is slim with curved edges, which gives it a soft silhouette. The sides raise the seat above the ground, making it appear as if the furniture was floating in the air. It has additional vertical stitching in the leather here and there, which adds a stylish touch. The chair is very comfortable and the seat cushion is attached to the chair with zippers, which prevents it from slipping. It is in beautiful condition considering its age, with slightly visible traces of the teeth of time. There are some cracked leather stitched here and there, but they are in places that are not really visible, e.g. Under the armrest cushion, on the side, at the bottom of the back, etc. Ready to be arranged in a new space of an apartment, studio or workshop.
