Antique French cast iron planter produced in Charleville, dating from the late 19th century. This decorative planter features an elaborate relief pattern inspired by the Rococo style, including scrolls, floral details, and a central cartouche. The elongated oval shape rests on four integrated feet, giving the piece an elegant and balanced profile. The underside bears a foundry mark referencing Charleville as well as a model number (56). The interior includes a drainage hole, indicating its original use as a functional planter. The surface exhibits a naturally aged patina, consistent with its age and material, enhancing its historical character. Originally designed for indoor use on a fireplace, console, or in a conservatory, this planter remains suitable for decorative planting or as a standalone sculptural object.
