Antique farmhouse bench, 266 cm – oak and pine, 19th century, France

Long antique French bench dating from the 19th century, with oak legs and a pine seat. Measuring 266 cm in length, the bench has a narrow seat 23 cm deep, made from a 4 cm thick plank. Its simple construction combines two woods traditionally used in country furniture. The long, unpadded seat provides a practical surface for sitting or displaying objects. With a seat height of 45 cm, the bench can be used alongside a dining table, in a hallway, or at the foot of a bed. Please note the shallow seat depth for everyday use. Its length also makes it suitable for a large entrance or landing. Good antique condition, with wear and signs of use related to age.
