Restored Louis XVI Flat Desk Decorated with Ormolu Late 19th Century

We offer this French Louis XVI flat desk made of precious wood and adorned with gilded bronze elements, dating from the late 19th century (circa 1890-1900), fully restored. It features a hand-dyed smoked brown leather top embossed with gold leaf, as well as repoussé decoration on the central drawer. The desk has three large drawers at the front (the back drawers are false for aesthetic purposes) and is equipped with two original keys. The structure has been polished, and the new hand-dyed leather should not be exposed to direct light to avoid drying out and discolouration. Dimensions: Height 81 cm, Width 150 cm, Depth 75 cm, Knee height 63 cm. In very good condition, professionally restored with wear corresponding to its age.
