Glass and pewter screw carafe, early 20th century

Very rare and antique screw carafe (or ice carafe) dating from the beginning of the 20th century. Materials: glass & tin. Marks engraved on the screw: “patented sgdg” (without government guarantee) and “registered trademark er” surrounding a rose, inscribed in a diamond. No cracks, no chips. Usual wear of the tin parts. The seals are worn and the carafe is therefore no longer watertight. Dimensions: total height: 28 cm / bottom diameter: 10 cm / bottom container capacity: 1l.
