A rare and very distinctive "Waves" centrepiece, designed by Luc Lanel for Christofle, circa 1930. Made of silver-plated metal, the piece is distinguished by a sculptural sequence of undulating forms, through which a suspended rosewood sphere is visible. The combination of geometric movement, refined metalwork, and exotic wood is particularly emblematic of Lanel's sophisticated approach to modernism and Art Deco.
