Scandinavian Pottery Table Lamp by Thomas Hellström for Nittsjö, Sweden

An extraordinary vintage table lamp with an exceptional glazing, a great example of scandinavian mid-century modern design. A very special and rather large ceramic lamp base, made by talented thomas hellström for nittsjö keramik, sweden. This lamp base has a simple design, yet it is the fantastic glazing which makes is a real centerpiece and to standout. It has a repetitive pattern of leaf like imprints in a gorgeous dark green, contrasted with grey unglazed stoneware base, which nearly looks like concrete, which gives it a very contemporary feeling. This lamp will make a bold statement to any interior setting. It is 30cm (11.81") high, including the light fitting and 12cm (4.72") in diameter and it is in a very good condition. Note that this lamp is newly re-wired for swedish standard (and for most parts of eu) with an extra-long cord and takes an e27 bulb and that the lamp shades are not included. Also note that this is a rather heavy object, just under 3kg (6.39lbs).
