Alabaster vase with art nouveau handles

Period: ca. 20th century. An impressive alabaster vase with an art nouveau look. The flat round base was carved with relief leaf patterns on a rough stone background. The long neck has two geometric handles that protrude upwards before joining the rounded edge. The overall shape and handles are reminiscent of the jugendstil, the german art nouveau style; however, it is difficult to say whether or not it dates from this period since it is so unique in its kind. Condition: good except a discreet repair to the handle and a blunt corner on the same handle (see photo). Dimensions: 33.3 cm high, 20 cm base diameter, 17.5 cm wide, 2.2 kg.
