Brutalist religious wooden sculpture

Pretty brutalist religious sculpture representing the nativity, the work of an amateur, but a rather gifted one. The base has been left raw with the bark of the branch, but it has a few small nails, I imagine to hold the bark in place, because it can come off depending on variations in humidity. This sculpture dates from the 60s or 70s. It is in good condition but shows the patina of time: a few marks and stains and obviously the original “defects” of the wood, knots in particular. It measures 19 cm in height, approximately 10 cm in diameter at the base, 5.5 cm in width at the sculpture. The actual color is that shown in the first photos.
