Box or candy dish in blue-green earthenware with gilt threads topped with a stylized bird. Work of the verceram factory. Period circa 1950-1960 dimensions: h 7 X diam. 14.5 cm, inside of the box: diam. Between 9 and 12 cm verceram (1930-2009) industrial ceramics manufacturer located in montreuil, in the paris region, founded in the 1930s. From the beginning, it specialized in the production of utilitarian and decorative objects, including vases, lamps, bowls, boxes and ashtrays, intended for specialist stores. Verceram earthenware, although often referred to as "ceramic", is distinguished by robust and colorful pieces, frequently incorporating original shapes and combinations of bright colors such as red, green and yellow.
