Tafrokht "Palmier" vase in Tamegroute

The fineness of the lines seems to stretch the creation towards the sky. Tafrokht "palmier" echoes the palm leaves used to fuel the blaze in which pottery cooks. The flames irregularly embed the contours of the pottery and the walls of drippings, drops and ripples to create unique shades. This art object is the result of an artisanal technique perpetuated since the 16th century. Irregularities are the creative signature of these pieces and reveal the uniqueness of each of them.
