Folding bookends in wood and mother-of-pearl

Old bookends with solid wood zippers and mother-of-pearl decorations in an oriental style, folding, from the early twentieth century, perhaps older. In good condition, restored, with some traces of wear. Small mother-of-pearl buds are missing. The bookhouse is 42 cm long when opened, 34 cm long closed. Are the initials of the previous owner present on both sides "t c"?.
