Henry II style guéridon
Description: A favourite for this superb hexagonal side table (which can serve as a pedestal or a small table) made of solid oak. Typical of the Henri II / Neo-Renaissance style, it dates from the late 19th century and showcases exceptional craftsmanship. Its rare characteristic: it is made from high-quality traditional cabinetmaking, entirely assembled with mortise and tenon joints and dowels, without any nails or metal screws. Features and charming details: The top: A stunning geometric shape with 6 sides, highlighted by a delicate carved floral and vegetal frieze in relief. The base: Remarkable work with 6 twisted column legs (the famous Solomon columns), a rarity compared to classic 4-legged models. The structure: A star-shaped stretcher with 6 branches that reinforces the base and converges around a sculpted central medallion.
