It used to be an accessory for every child to learn about math. Now it serves a purpose of an excellent and beautiful home accessory. The abacus is made of plastic grame with metal rods and balls in different colors. The balls can be easily slid on the rods. The abacus is in an excellent condition. Some minor patina can be seen.
