Classical watercolor still life painted around 1940–1950, depicting a bottle of wine, a baguette, an heirloom tomato, green apples, and a pear on a platter. A simple and delicate composition, with soft tones on a sepia background, evoking the peasant tables of southern France. Signed Lenot lower right, this work is in the tradition of Provençal watercolorists of the mid-20th century. Antique frame in gilded molded wood, with cream and gilt fillet.
