Pair of elephant ceramic side tables

Pair of decorative elephants in cobalt blue and white glazed ceramic, featuring openwork patterns and a Chinese symbol (寿 = shòu meaning long life). Typical of the highly sought-after Asian-inspired decorations in Europe at the end of the 20th century. China (export production for the Western market), circa 1960–1980. Often used as side tables, stools, or plant stands. Height: 44 cm. Length: 58 cm. Width: 24 cm. Generally in good condition, with fine crazing of the glaze from use. No chips, cracks, or breaks.
