Planchon is said to have participated in the 1867 Paris Universal Exhibition, an event where many watchmakers presented their technical and artistic innovations. The latter specialized in: - Precision watchmaking. - Production of pendulums, cartels, regulators, and sometimes astronomical clocks. - Often Louis XVI, Empire, or Napoleon III style, depending on the orders and the era.
