Pair of bistro chairs #43 by Baumann, circa 40/50

Pair of vintage bistro chairs, model #43, by baumann, circa 40's/ 50's. The chairs are made of beech wood with a walnut-colored finish. The attributes and classic design of these chairs highlight their beautiful curved/curved wood shapes under the seats, 2 on each side, 1 on the front and 1 on the back (see photos.) these chairs with three vertical backrest bars terminated by a small curved headband slightly wider are classic bistro furniture of the 50s, produced only between 1948 and 1954.these chairs refer to the model # 43 of the brand and more precisely to the model 43/50 (model backrest low 78 cm, used in bistros because with the shorter backrest that facilitates cleaning / sweeping under the tables when returned unlike the model 43/100 backrest high 85 cm. The design of the ovoid seat has an surrounding border typical of this model. The chairs are in excellent original condition and vintage condition with light marks and signs of age and use, as well as a natural patina with a slightly washed out finish proportional to their age, on their overall structures. They were only slightly dusted, cleaned respecting the original patina. There are no cracks or broken parts (see photos.) all feet have their original tips (see photo). Both chairs bear a manufacturer's mark under the seats, and the first bears the original purchase order label that bears the reference #43, and the other door "43/50" written by hand. Both chairs are strong and stable. Not to be confused with all bistro chairs, there are many but they are not all the same and some small details make them more or less desirable pieces as for cars, fashion or other.
