Eames Herman Miller DAT Office Chair

This dat chair (swivel office chair) was created by designers charles & ray eames and marketed by the american herman miller in the late 1950s until the end of the fiberglass chair series in 1993. After the pac chair, the dat represented herman miller's first venture into the "office chair" market, an area in which the company excelled in the late 1970s and 1980s. The cream-colored fiberglass shell is covered with a vintage skaï (synthetic leather) in camel/cognac color. The beige border in tone on tone with the shell is in good condition (some traces due to use and age). Two defects are to be noted on this product: a tear at the base of an armrest and cracks at the seat. The 4-spoke aluminum star base is in good condition. The foot detaches from the seat.
