The exterior has been protected by several layers of matte colorless varnish while the interior is painted anthracite grey, to facilitate its maintenance. The dresche found in northern france as far as the flemish country takes its name from the "dresseroir". Often composed of two identical doors on either side of the furniture, the central part is often composed of a fixed element topped with a drawer. Long and low, the set-up was once used to "prepare" dishes before putting them on the family table.
