Exceptional Italian pendant light from the 1970s, featuring a large sculptural shade made from hand-blown Venetian glass and complemented by polished brass fittings. The generously proportioned oval glass shade displays a remarkable swirling decoration in white and translucent tones. Areas of dense, textured glass transition into smoother opaline sections, while two delicate gold-toned lines sweep around the body of the shade. The resulting pattern gives the pendant a strong sense of movement and ensures that each viewing angle presents a slightly different composition. When illuminated, the hand-blown glass softly diffuses the light while its layered decoration becomes especially pronounced, producing a warm and atmospheric effect.
