Baumann office chair, Pegamoïd upholstery

Baumann no.29 office chair. A model published from 1914 to 1935 ca with background and folder trimmed with pegamoïd under tapestries - ancestor of imitation leathers, this coated canvas of franco-english manufacture is used until pre-war in tapestry, car upholstery, luggage, etc. It is very rare to find them in such beautiful condition today; post-war vinyl coatings don't offer the same chic to the eye or the same flexibility to the touch. This copy dates from 1924/1926 after the type of baumann stamp still present under the seat and the small "fantasy" of the three streaks in the folder that no longer appears in the 1928 catalogue. --- very good condition in its find juice and its original patina.
