Confit pot (also called fat pot) from the south west of france, in glazed terracotta. Made famous by the series of paintings “sunflowers” by vincent van gogh, where the confit pot serves as a vase for sunflowers. Before the appearance of refrigerators, they were used to preserve meat, they were buried halfway up, which is why the glaze is only present on half of the pot. Dimensions: 28 cm wide (with the ears) 27 cm high condition: good general condition no cracks, small chips from use especially on the neck.
