Murano Sommerso Block Candle Holder Design 60/70 Visible Label

Superb faceted Murano glass block, using the famous Sommerso technique (immersed glass). A deep ruby red heart trapped in a mass of clear glass. Authenticity: Presence of the original "Murano" label on one of the facets. Origin: Probably an old desk lighter holder (the mechanism is no longer present), making it today a pure decorative object, a beautiful soliflore or candlestick. Style: Geometric design typical of the Mid-Century Modern movement (1960s-70s), reminiscent of the work of the Mandruzzato house. Condition: Overall beautiful aesthetic condition. Note some chips (nicks) at the inner neck (see last photos), due to the old mechanism. Dimensions: 7.5 cm high and 12.5 cm wide including the facet.
