Wooden Swedish design 1970s fold-out candle holder for 5 candles designed by Carl Nelson for Ta i Trä (Taitra) , Uppsala, Sweden. This natural candle holder, shaped like a bird, has the colour of teak wood but was probably made from untreated Scandinavian beech wood and is in an impeccable condition. Smooth surface, no varnish, no lacquer. The largest candle holder acts as tail and is fixed to the body and the remaining 4 candle holders rotate/fold out. Each candle holder measures 22 mm inside and with the gold coloured aluminium inserts 21 mm inside. Unused, as new condition, no stains from candle wax, no scratches, no damages. 2 of the 5 unused inserts show light flattening on the edge. Thickness 2,8 cm (in flat position)
