old mallet

Very old cabin trunk from the late 19th to early 20th century. Trunk originally intended for travel by train or ship. Lightweight chest, exterior made of coated fabric, stiffened, reinforced with wooden strapping protected by metal fittings at the corners. Beautiful brick red colour. Lightweight model but rigid and sturdy. Transportable thanks to the two side handles, riveted leather straps. On one side, a transport label indicates this trunk's passage through a station in Czechoslovakia. Interior covered with a clear adhesive imitating wood grain. A piece of railway collection, a unique and vintage decorative object, in very good original condition. The locks are not functional. Usable interior: 95 cm in length, 40 cm in height, 50 cm in depth.
