Solid wood pedestal table spiral base

This charming pedestal table deserves a new life, but in what form... It's up to you! Either use it as is in a wabi sabi spirit, or to restore... Indeed, it has some problems: I think that this pedestal table is the result of the recomposition of two pieces of furniture: the base on the one hand, in beautiful varnished wood, very worked, with a pretty spiral column. And the tray on the other hand, which is simpler, less worked. The base is still solid, no crack or big problem, but has all the traces of its age: stains, small scratches and various marks. The tray has some spots and discolorations not too visible, but its curved wooden "belt" is deformed in two places, they separate from the tray leaving two great days. To do well, you would have to remove some of the old nails that hold everything together, shorten the curved svet and re-rent in place. The tray looks well fixed on the base (i don't know how, no visible nail) but it "swings" a little in relation to the base. This pedestal table is about 79 cm high, the tray is 45 cm in diameter for a thickness of about 2 cm (the belt measuring 2.5 cm, it slightly exceeds the tray upwards). The base is a triangle of about forty cm on one side. The pedestal table weighs about 4 kg.
