Holophane Suspension

This is a 1960s Holophane floor lamp from Paris that has been converted into a pendant lamp. The hallmark of Holophane luminaires, or lighting fixtures, is the borosilicate glass reflector/reflector. The glass prisms (ribs) provide a combination of upward and downward light to illuminate any environment evenly without creating dark spots or glare. This makes this lamp perfect for any application where uniform lighting is desired. The glass of the Holophane was cast in two halves and assembled. Manual stripping and soft polishing, lamp fully restored. New porcelain E27 socket. Height: 63 cm.
