Lisa Johansson-Pape Ihanne floor lamp brass and leather 1950

This beautiful ihanne floor lamp was designed by lisa johansson-pape for orno oy in finland in 1947. Our example is a first edition from the early 1950s. It features a brass base, its stem wrapped in light brown leather, and its shade painted a beautiful mocha brown. The shade features a very innovative design for the time, which earned lisa johansson-pape numerous design awards including in italy in the 1950s, and which allows the light to diffuse evenly upwards and downwards. This floor lamp has been fully cleaned and restored, electrified, and is in superb condition. The shade and leather have a superb patina. The dimensions include the shade.
