A pair of French wall sconces from the 19th century in patinated metal and polychrome porcelain flowers. Composed like true wall bouquets, they elegantly combine shaped and patinated metal with delicately modelled and hand-painted polychrome porcelain flowers. The metalwork features finely cut foliage with soft, natural lines, in a deep patina with green and brown hues. The porcelain flowers, in soft and subtly shaded tones, add relief, light, and refinement to the whole. The luminous arms, inspired by period candles, diffuse a warm light that highlights the richness of the decor without overwhelming it. Whether lit or unlit, these sconces have a strong decorative presence, almost sculptural. Ideal on either side of a mirror, in an entrance, living room, or bedroom, they fit seamlessly into both classic interiors and more eclectic decor, where they become a strong and unique piece.
