Chesterfield leather club canapé, hand-dyed, restored from the 1950s.

We are delighted to offer for sale this original 1950s Chesterfield club sofa in cigar brown leather, restored, with feather-filled cushions. This item is extremely rare; you almost never find mid-20th century Chesterfield club sofas with the original leather intact, unless they are in pieces. This sofa is almost timeless in terms of lines, appearance, feel, and design, with a wonderful patina of wear, hand-dyed in this stunning cigar brown colour. The legs have been specially created for this sofa, made from solid walnut, hand-turned with metal axles allowing them to be unscrewed and removed. The leather is completely original, showing all the expected signs of patina with age and normal use. Dimensions: height 74 cm, width 208 cm, depth 90 cm, seat height 47 cm. Vintage items like this leather sofa always exhibit a natural patina including cracks, creases, and wear. It is recommended to regularly wax to preserve the moisture of the leather. Hand-dyed leather is not advised for prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as it may dry out and discolour.
