An authentic 1950s milliner's workshop-boutique, originally used for displaying and storing hats and headwear. Made of solid oak and veneer, it comprises three large cabinets with sliding doors, featuring original, smooth-gliding, recessed chrome handles. Inside, the sturdy, fully removable pine shelves offer great flexibility and facilitate transport. The clean cuts on the sides, aligned with the edge of the top, reveal the pine frame and its pegged fixings. These suggest a piece initially custom-designed for built-in installation, or later adapted to a new space—a detail that enhances its unique character. The piece has undergone a complete and meticulous restoration: thorough cleaning, sanding inside and out, refinishing of the sides for a balanced visual harmony, comprehensive treatment against wood-boring insects, and a final protective coat of high-resistance, colorless matte varnish. A subtle patina from use remains, adding to the charm of this antique piece. In very good condition considering its age, it is a true gem for lovers of unique pieces and furniture with character. Ideal as a sideboard, TV/Hi-Fi unit, buffet, entryway storage, or display cabinet for a shop, showroom, or professional space. (Note: the piece is actually straight; the photograph is an illusion.)
