"Molar" vase by Roger Capron, Vallauris, from the 1950s-60s. An iconic model by the ceramist, recognisable by its tripod base and its hand-painted decoration: chevrons and arches in blue, green, and turquoise, outlined in black. The effect is almost architectural, very characteristic of Capron's modernist and decorative style. Signed "Capron Vallauris" under the base. Signs of use inside, consistent with its age.
