Former marine platter in rosewood

Splendid rosewood tray, rope and brass. Two wires are placed under the tray (which can be removed because they appear glued), they were used to hold the tray on a stand so that it stays in place. A brass navy anchor is embedded in the middle of the tray and the two handles with the same pattern. The chipped varnish of the rosewood tray was removed and was later waxed. A wide rope encircles the tray, it was probably clearer but became beige. Beautiful unusual object as original as decorative. Weight 2kg.
