A square coffee table of Swiss manufacture, signed De Sede. The base is upholstered in cognac leather, gently patinated — the leather bears the subtle marks of real life, with natural creases and variations in tone. The top is made of smoked tinted glass, a distinctive grey shade that absorbs rather than reflects light. Dimensions: 97 × 97 × 39 cm. De Sede never designed furniture as disposable objects.
