Golden and white Venetian serving tray

Small golden and white tray. I do not know much about this kind of tray, and even less why the color, the white here, is laid in a hurry, overflowing the patterns. I imagine that these trays were mass-produced in the 70s probably to imitate the real venetian trays that must have been very sought after. Perhaps tourist souvenirs of venice. This tray is very light, I think it is made of plastic. It is in good condition, solid, without cracks, but has some signs of its age: small various marks, perhaps stains, difficult to say if it is original or not. It measures 29 cm in length, 19 cm in width and 2 cm at the highest (at the handles). It weighs just under 200 g.
