Empire mahogany and veneer desk, gilt bronze, early 19th century magnificent empire style desk in solid mahogany and veneer, richly decorated with finely chiseled gilt bronzes. The double-coffered base is decorated with female figures, fluted columns with corinthian capitals, and superb bronze appliques. The front features three drawers decorated with gilt bronze motifs. The rectangular top with rounded corners reinforces the elegance and majesty of the whole. Period: early 19th century materials: solid mahogany, veneer, gilt bronze dimensions: height 83 cm, width 187 cm, depth 86 cm very good general condition, recently restored, ready to be installed.
