Art Deco style pedestal table dating from the 1920s–1930s, made of carved solid wood and topped with a light veined marble surface. ● The square top features an elegant stepped profile, characteristic of the Art Deco aesthetic, and is adorned with marble that adds a refined mineral touch. ● The walnut wood band is decorated with flat panels, composed of stylised geometric and floral motifs — a central star, palmettes, and radiating lines — emblematic of the era when cabinetmakers enjoyed merging geometric order (the star) with organic fluidity (the flower). This represents the transition from Art Nouveau (all curves) to Art Deco (more rigorous). ● The entire piece rests on four slender legs, connected by a square lower shelf in walnut veneer in a "four leaves" design, ensuring stability and visual balance while reinforcing the verticality of the furniture. ● A representative piece of meticulous cabinetmaking from the early 20th century. Ideal as a pedestal, display stand, or sculpture support, this piece will perfectly showcase a work of art, a vase, or a lamp. A decorative piece of character, combining geometric rigor, fine sculpture, and noble materials, typical of French Art Deco refinement. Dimensions: Top surface 26.5 X 26.5 cm. Height 103 cm. Bottom surface 21.5 X 21.5 cm. Signs of wear at the corner of the marble, small veneer chip on the lower surface.
