Lamp base IMT Italy in solid wood

I offer you this lovely lamp base, a typical piece of Italian production from the brand IMT, very active between the 1970s and 1990s. (Label present at the bottom) This is a solid wood lamp base, probably elm, turned to achieve this smooth and even finish, ideal for a Scandinavian or Japandi style decor. This base would pair perfectly with a wide cylindrical lampshade or, conversely, a very simple conical lampshade in white or cream fabric, see example photo (lampshade not included).
