Large slipware plate signed Salins Les Bains, French production from the 1980s, in an uncommon chromatic variation: a nuanced lavender blue background, almost powdered. The relief fruit decoration—deep plums, violet clusters, pink strawberries—stands out against a dense foliage treated in subtle gradients. The whole creates a sophisticated interplay of textures and colours, between stylised naturalism and an assertive decorative aesthetic. Stamped Salins Les Bains – Made in France – Hand-decorated. While the factory is historically known for its 19th-century productions, it continues in the 20th century with a decorative reinterpretation of the slipware tradition.
