Danish design dining set. Designed by ditte and adrian heath and produced by france & son (cado) denmark in the 1970. The set consists of 6 chairs and an extendable table. The chairs are made from solid oak with canvas seats and backs. The table is also made from solid oak. The top is extendable by two leaves. The leaves fold away underneath the top. The top extends from 170cm to 198 or 226cm. The set is in good condition with age consistent signs of use. The chairs have both the france & son and the cado brand. This dates this set to around 1965. France and daverkosen was a danish furniture company that was founded by charles france (uk) and erik daverkosen in 1936. After daverkosens death in 1937 the company held its name until frances son joined the ranks in 1957 and renamed france and son. Mid 1960s the company was bought by paul cadovious and rebranded cado. We also have the matching sideboard available. Designers: adrian and ditte heath. Producer: france & son, cado. Origin: denmark. Period: 1960-1970. Material: oak, oak veneer. Condition: very good.
