A delightful little Empire piece of furniture in Cuban mahogany veneer, opening with a drawer and a door on the front and, exceptionally, another door on the back. It is topped with white Carrara marble. The drawer has a notch around the edge to facilitate its opening. Below, the door has a small bronze pull handle in the shape of a hand. On each side of the piece, a detached cylindrical column has a chiseled bronze capital at the top and an ornate collar at the bottom. The whole rests on crushed square legs. The back has a door revealing a hidden storage space. This small piece of furniture has benefited from quality cabinetmaking, presenting superb mahogany highlights. It is notable for the elegance and finesse of its ornamentation.
