This antique French farmhouse table dates from the late 18th century (circa 1750–1800) and comes from the Auvergne region of France. The table is primarily made of solid cherry wood, with chestnut legs. It features a top made of four planks with rounded edges, a single drawer with a wrought iron ring handle, and a sturdy base connected by stretchers. The simple provincial construction and understated details are characteristic of French rural furniture from this period. Suitable as a dining table, kitchen table, or work table, it can comfortably seat four people. The table is in good antique condition with normal wear associated with age. The surface shows marks, scratches, small dents, and areas of wear consistent with over two centuries of use. Old wormholes may be present, as is common for furniture of this age, but the table has been treated preventively and is structurally sound.
